Project Overview: PDDM Solutions was contracted as the General Contractor for the buildout and renovation of the Rising Tides offices in the vibrant Wilkinsburg community. This project aimed to transform a ground-floor space into a functional, modern, and accessible office environment while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Scope of Work:
1. Interior Office Fit-Out:

  • Conducted a complete interior fit-out of the ground floor space, maximizing functionality and aesthetics to create an inviting workspace for employees and visitors alike.

2. Selective Demolition:

  • Performed selective demolition, including carefully removing one existing stairway leading to the basement to improve space allocation and ensure ADA compliance.

3. HVAC Systems:

  • Installed new HVAC units and new ductwork throughout the ground floor to ensure efficient climate control and comfort for office occupants.

4. Restroom Facilities:

  • Constructed two new ADA-compliant restrooms, complete with new plumbing and fixtures, to enhance accessibility and meet modern standards for sanitary facilities.

5. Additional Amenities:

  • Installed a new ADA-compliant drinking fountain and kitchenette equipped with new plumbing and appliances, providing essential services to staff and visitors.

6. Power and Lighting:

  • Upgraded the electrical infrastructure to provide new power and lighting throughout the ground floor, ensuring a well-lit, productive environment.

7. Additional Renovations:

  • Addressed hazardous material removal, including safely disposing of any identified contaminants during renovation.
  • Renovated the basement area to optimize its use, with improvements catering to the office's needs.
  • Installed a compliant fire alarm and security system for enhanced safety.
  • Installed a new data wiring system to support modern communication needs.
