Project Overview: PDDM Solutions was contracted to provide professional Owners Representative services overseeing the rehabilitation of eighty-six (86) single and multi-family housing units in Pittsburgh, PA. This significant rehabilitation project aims to improve the Manchester neighborhood's housing quality while ensuring minimal disruption to the existing community.

The rehabilitation of the existing 86 units will be strategically sequenced to focus first on vacant units, allowing for the relocation of tenants into renovated houses without displacing current residents. The proposed rehabilitation will include:

  • Handicap Accessible Units: Ensuring that some units are designed to be accessible for individuals with disabilities.
  • Single and Multi-Family Homes: Upgrading both single-family residences and multi-family units to enhance living conditions and functionality.

Construction Management Excellence: As the Owners Representative, PDDM Solutions was contracted to provide a comprehensive range of services throughout the project, including:

  • Preconstruction Services: Collaborating with stakeholders to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure a successful start.
  • On-Site Construction Management: Overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring that work is performed safely, on schedule, and to high-quality standards.
  • Project Management: Managing the overall project lifecycle and maintaining communication with our Client to align project goals and expectations.
  • Estimating and Scheduling: Providing accurate cost estimates and developing detailed construction schedules to guide the project.
  • Inspections and Quality Control: Performing regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and standards and hiring and monitoring third-party inspection and testing agencies.
  • Post-Construction Services: Assisting with project closeout activities to ensure complete satisfaction and functionality of all rehabilitated units.
